Moving On…

I know I haven’t posted anything in what seems like years; I haven’t posted anything since last year, since it is now 2015! Hope you all have had a great new year so far! I know I have been crazy busy with all the things that have happened to me so far.

So here are the updates that have happened to me. Starting last November, well actually I’ll go back further than that, let’s go back to October. In October I knew that the Lord was once again calling me to move on to another place, and I also knew it was time to go home for a well-deserved break and visit. So I purchased my ticket, and in November, a week before Thanksgiving, I packed up everything and moved back to America!

 

I was so excited to see my family once more after being gone for 19 months in foreign countries it is a GREAT feeling to come home!

 

After a delay in Chicago airport, I finally arrived in Virginia and after a joyful reunion we took off toward home, by the time we actually got home I didn’t get to bed until after midnight…so I definitely slept well that night! 🙂

It was so great spending the holidays with my family! I missed that when I was gone.

 

The Lord then blessed me with a very nice used car, and it looks very nice because it was taken care of and had very low mileage. The Lord is so good.

My family and I then took a trip to Florida, where one of my sister’s live, and we got to spend a week with them before Christmas and I got to meet my niece. I didn’t get to meet her in person before I left in April of 2013 because she was born a few months before I left so I couldn’t go to Florida to see her then. It was really great to play with her and get to know her better, 2 years old is such a cute age!

So, back to Virginia; I got a temporary job as a receptionist and was able to give each of my bosses a Great Controversy. I only worked there for 2 ½ months, the office closed and relocated. That was alright though because something else has come up.

It is actually an upcoming adventure that I will be going on. I wasn’t sure where God was going to lead me to next; I thought I would just stay home for a while to relax a bit, but God had other plans for me, LOL, He always does!

So my mother was listening to a sermon on YouTube and she then friend requested that person on Facebook and in the process of talking to him she mentioned me, and the speaker was a young person so they friend requested me.

 

In the process of talking, he mentioned this school that he was going to teaching at, a school dealing with Medical Missionary, gardening, Bible, wilderness survival, and more. This of course peeked my interest and I asked if they needed any more teachers.

He said that they did, and after many questions back and forth and talking, and praying to God, I felt that this was the direction that God was leading me in. So I accepted the volunteer position of teaching health. I also will be studying the other things I mentioned as well. So I’m part teacher part student, which is really nice.

 

I am really looking forward to going; it is in Oregon, a state on the upper western side of the United States, in case some of you might not know. I have never been there before and I’ve heard it is a beautiful state and I’ve seen pictures of it, so I am really looking forward to seeing the beauty of it as well.

The Lord has been good to me and has lead me so far in my life and I know He continues to lead me ever upward and onward. It seems that the Lord just leads me from one adventure to the next. I guess I’m one of those people who just can’t stay in one place for too long. HA HA! That was God’s choice by the way not mine! 🙂  It has been fun so far so I’m not going to complain.

 

Please keep me in your prayers because I am going to be driving there, not by myself though. My mother is going to be coming with me as far as California; she is going to visit a friend of hers and I’ll be able to stay there over the weekend and finish the rest of the trip on my own; it will only take a day’s travel from where her friend’s house is. The Lord is so good.

Anyway I’ll keep you guys updated as much as I can, I won’t write until I reach the school and settle in. I’ll be leaving onMay 24th. So keep that day and that whole week in your prayers as I will be traveling. 🙂 God bless you guys, and once again sorry for not writing in so long.
