New Adventures in Aussie Land

So many things have happened! I keep really busy here at Highwood Health Retreat. I divide my time between the kitchen and therapy. When I work in the kitchen I am helping with the cooking. I also help out in therapy by doing poultices, natural remedies, massage, and hydrotherapy. It is a lot of fun and it is great to be able to help people who are in need.

We have 3 guests that are coming for the next 10 days and we are running two executive programs. Usually we have a three or four day break in between but this time we have decided to run 2 programs back to back.

We also have several spiritual retreats coming up. One is in the middle of August and the other one is at the end of August. Also, in the beginning of September, we are going to have a medical missionary training course.

Our days are pretty busy here! We wake up early and have breakfast early, then we have staff devotionals and our day starts. Everyone keeps pretty busy, even on our days off we have things to do, like shopping in town, catching up with friends on Skype or like writing this blog! 🙂

Everyone here is super friendly and acts like one big family which is really nice. When we go to church, our group goes on a bus so we are all together, which makes it a lot of fun.

We have one exotic bird family that comes to have some bread at the patio by the kitchen. We also have some magpies that come, and another type of bird that I can’t remember its name. 🙂

I have a lot of fun here. I especially like that there are a couple of girls working here that are my age. We have become really great friends! It is always nice when you can work with people your age that you also get along with.

I want to go wherever my Saviour leads me, and want to do what He tells me. I am serving the Lord wherever He calls me to go. I laugh and smile very easily, and love to meet new people! The Lord has given me the talent of singing, and playing the flute. I love to play songs which glorify my Savior and to play songs to the elderly, it is great to see the look of happiness in their faces when they hear the music! :) A few of my other favorite things I like to do is; reading the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy, cooking, knitting, and I love to witness and share about Jesus! My character is moldable for His hands! If I don't get to meet you here on this earth, meet me in the heavenly kingdom! John 15:6 - Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. *~Kaila~*
