Baptisms, Door-Knocking, and Other Odd Bits… :)

Hi guys!

It’s me again and I have a bit of news for everyone concerning what has happened to me lately and what the Lord has done for others.

We had 5 baptisms on the 26th of this month, which is very exciting for all of us. We also have about 7 new people attending our church, one family and two other separate individuals.

I and my good friend run the children’s program and we have 3 children in our class. This keeps us quite busy as I’m sure you can imagine, but it is also loads of fun, little children have so much love in them. 🙂

On the 18th of April, we met a guy door-knocking and he asked us what church we went to. He told us he recognized us from the last time we came there. He wanted us to write down our address where we worshiped and what time he should come. After we were finished talking with him we were stunned, and very excited, we couldn’t believe someone had just invited himself over to fellowship with us. Praise the Lord for sure!

About two weeks or so ago, I went way up north in New Zealand to visit my friend’s parents and to take a break for a week. On my way home, on the bus, I was talking with my mother on the phone and the girl ahead of me heard my conversation and she heard me say I was a missionary and talking about the Lord.

I had spotted this girl and for some reason she stuck in my mind. I saw that she was quite a good artist, I then noticed her arm and noticed there were cut marks on them, this of course made me sad inside and I really wanted to help her, but I didn’t know how as she was sitting in front of me. So I prayed for her and prayed that the Lord would reach her somehow, someway, using someone to reach her, even if it wasn’t me.

Well, like I was saying before, she heard me talking on the phone and suddenly I looked up and she is handing me a card. I took the card and read that she was trying to get back in touch with the Lord and that she would like to keep in touch with me and on the other side of the card she wrote her email address. I was so excited and praising the Lord; I of course told her that I would definitely email her.

I did email her and I’m still in the beginning stages of talking with her. I hope to send her some encouraging books and also keep in touch and do my best to be a good encouragement to her. Please keep her in your prayers and I as well as I correspond with her.

Another day awhile back, my friend and I went out door-knocking and we grabbed 20 books. We thought to ourselves that there was no way we would pass out that many books, but lo and behold the Lord blessed and we passed out all of them. Praise the Lord!

Another time when we went out, we had 1 book left and 2 houses on the street left to visit. I said just for the fun of it, “the first house will refuse and the last house will take it and that way we will have given out all our books and have finished the street at the same time.” Once again the Lord surprised me and allowed it to happen exactly like that. The first house we went to was a guy on house arrest so he wasn’t interested in anything. The last house, the guy in there was very interested in it and took our last book. The Lord is so good!!!

Also, recently we meet a lady who was so mad that we knocked on her door that she slammed it right away and started swearing really loud and she kept it up for quite a while. I felt so sorry for her. A different lady in the same town was delighted that we were handing out the things that we were and we had quite a good chat with her and hopefully she will become a steady contact. 🙂

We had 2 Jehovah Witness take the books one day when we were door-knocking and that was quite neat, as they usually don’t take other people’s literature. We were definitely praising the Lord for working on their hearts!

All together we have delivered about 20,000 pieces of literature, so that is a big praise the Lord.

I do have another piece of news, very exciting actually, but I’m going to keep you guys in suspense and not tell you until it happens. 🙂

Well, I thought you guys would like to hear these stories, and I thank you all for your support and prayers. Till the next time, I pray that the Lord will bless you all. 🙂

I want to go wherever my Saviour leads me, and want to do what He tells me. I am serving the Lord wherever He calls me to go. I laugh and smile very easily, and love to meet new people! The Lord has given me the talent of singing, and playing the flute. I love to play songs which glorify my Savior. A few of my other favorite things I like to do is; reading the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy, cooking, knitting, and I love to witness and share about Jesus! My character is moldable for His hands! If I don't get to meet you here on this earth, meet me in the heavenly kingdom!
