The Adventure

Hello everyone, I know it has been a really long time since I’ve last posted, but once you hear all the interesting things that have happened to me I hope that you will be able to forgive me. Besides, I have to keep you guys in suspense sometimes, right? 🙂

So, recently I went on a little holiday, our leader’s sister had gone to Australia to visit some people and while she was gone she wanted me to house sit for her. So I went there and during the week the leader and his wife took me and another girl to a few different interesting locations. I hiked up trails and visited a tunnel where there were quite a few glow worms that were pretty neat!

 

Then we saw a square Kauri tree, it was quite fascinating to me to see a square tree. We also did a really neat hike up a little trail.

 

There was also a market that took place in town, it happens once a year and they close a big part of the main street off so that no vehicles can go through. It was really neat to look around at the different things that people where selling. I was also able to witness to a couple of people there and referred them to a book called The Great Controversy. So praise the Lord for that!

Then the next week I went a few hours away to a camp meeting that was taking place and that was such a blessing. I gained some really good spiritual food and came away with a greet blessing and an even deeper desire to get the word of Jesus out to everyone! While at the camp meeting I got some very interesting news. We were moving to another house in Thames; let me tell you, that was a shocker. So, when I came back, I came back to a different house, which was only temporary and I only stayed there for a week.

The house that we were renting before, the owner came back unexpectedly and so we had to move out. Well that real estate lady felt so bad about it that she offered us a small apartment to rent for a few weeks while she gets us a bigger house that we could rent. So we moved out of the small apartment and moved into a nice new house, which is also temporary. Pray that the next move that we make is to the house that we own. We are praying for the funds to come in, but the devil is fighting us every inch of the way. But the battle is the Lord’s and we know that it is up to Him how it will all end! Praise the Lord!

Before I went away I had a very interesting experience happen to me. I and a co-worker were walking up a driveway and right away I knew there wasn’t something right. The first clue was that there were 3 or 4 toilets with plants growing out of them. Putting that aside we went up the ramp that lead to the patio door. I knocked on the door and waited a little bit and then knocked again. Suddenly a woman answered the door, I told her what we were up to, just a couple of Christian’s going around offering a free book about the law of God and the Ten Commandments.

Then she totally took me by surprise as she answered with a man’s voice, it was really deep. She told us that she was not interested. She then happened to see the name of our leader (we had a sticker placed at the back of the book with details on it in case anyone wanted to get in touch after reading the book), and her voice changed a bit to a deeper and scarier voice, it sounded like an angry demon within. She said that he was a crazy man and that she totally disagreed with the things he taught, and that he was a fraud and then she started to attack the discoveries that have been made through archaeology and said he’s out to deceive people.

So, the person that was with me asked her politely what her religion was. To our amazement she told us that she was a witch. Then everything made sense, a witch would disagree with the work that is being done, because the devil hates what we are doing in this town which is filled with witchcraft and demons. So, we politely ended the conversation and got out of there as fast as we could. This goes to show that we are doing something right in God’s eyes, since we have made the devil so angry. Praise the Lord for the work that He is accomplishing here in Thames!

And now since I have been back from holiday, I was recently out doing door knocking and we were doing Bible studies, and on that particular day we were able to get 9 people to agree to look at the Bible studies. Please pray that these souls will continue doing them. 🙂 So, now I hope that you can understand why I haven’t typed anything for a while! 🙂

During Christmas I was also able to go on a nice long hike up another mountain and got to see the mountains called the Pinnacles, which are so beautiful, I want to hike it again as I wasn’t able to go the top because it rained the next day (they have a really nice hut up there that you can stay in), the Lord was with us and we had a fun time! 🙂

So that has been my adventures lately. I am so grateful to the Lord that He is going out before us. There is a work to be done, the harvest is ripe, and the laborers are few. There have come to us some really interesting stories lately of miracles taking place, so maybe in my next blog I will share some with you. Surely the time for Jesus second coming is very close at hand! We must all get ready, things are taking place, and we all need to watch and be ready! Until next time, God bless you all!
