Interesting People

I walked up to a house and I knocked on the door; I waited a little bit and knocked again. I was just about to wait when I heard a muffled voice coming from somewhere saying hello. I answered back and the voice asked who it was.

This a place we came upon when we took a Sabbath walk! 🙂

I told him it was just a couple of girls knocking at his door; he replied that he was under the house! I was surprised; this was something I didn’t expect, so my response was to ask if he needed any help.

He assured us he didn’t but that he was he was fixing something. We told him we would come some other time and he told us that would be fine.

As soon as we were out of the driveway of the house my friend and I started to laugh so hard, if anyone had been passing by and had heard me they would have thought I was talking to the porch! 🙂

We were walking down someone else’s driveway and we could see them through their window and we could see that they were watching us come down their driveway.

My friend and I thought for sure that she was going to tell us no right from the start; I mean she is probably thinking who knows what! So I start talking and I give her the speech and low and behold she was not only interested in taking our DVD but she seemed excited as well!

We were praising the Lord as we walked away that He had showed us favor in letting her be willing and wanting to take a DVD.

Well, I have officially spent my first birthday here in New Zealand and that makes me 19 years old, the Lord has lead me thus far and I know that there are many more exciting things around the corner to come! I can’t wait to see what He has planned for me, waiting for me right around the corner!

I just praise the Lord to be serving Him in the mission field! What better way to spend your birthday! After all these years of waiting and staying at home to come and give back to God what is rightfully His! Thank you Lord for giving me life, health, strength and another year in life in which I can serve you! 🙂

We have many people taking the Bible studies; it will be amazing what the Lord will do in those people’s lives!

The devil has been very busy of late, one morning a few days ago we heard a knock on the door, early on in the morning, and upon opening it was a police officer standing at our doorstep. He told us that at about 5:30 in the morning someone broke into our car and that they broke one of the windows in the back of the car. Praise the Lord nothing important was in the car.

This was an interesting mailbox that we came upon.

We also have a lady taking the Bible studies and she recently had the one about the Sabbath day. She is going through a really hard time accepting it and she even became suicidal at one point, now we are helping her to realize that the Lord still loves her and that He can help her. So I am asking all of you to keep her in your prayers and ask the Lord to continue to give us the wisdom to know how to deal with her.

Yesterday, which is October 23, we went out door knocking for a little bit and my partner and I went up to this one house and we just got this really creepy feeling. Well we knocked on the door and then I said hello out loud and it was completely silent, all around us there was no noise and then out of nowhere there came a huge bark from a dog inside. Of course I screamed and my partner and I quickly got out of there while the dog barked 2 or 3 more times. By this time we were laughing at how it all happened and how we had reacted.

We both agreed though that it was certainly an adventure! 🙂

I thank the Lord for all that He is doing for us here and I know He has much more in store for us! 🙂
